Pain Management: Thermotherapy

Aches and pains getting you down? Try applying a heat source! 🔥Thermotherapy❄️ is an all natural pain management tool that is readily available to everyone, and which is safe for almost anyone 👍🏻
A heat application helps decrease pain in two ways;
When you apply a heat source to a sore area, it increases circulation to the soft tissue which provides all the nutrients your body needs to repair whatever is injured and causing pain.
Many of the nerve receptors in your body that cause you to feel pain are also responsible for detecting temperature. The receptors can’t sense pain and temperature at the same time, and by applying heat you are “tricking” your brain into feeling the sensation of heat rather than pain.
A heat source can be something as simple as a heating pad, a Magic Bag ( I got mine at Walmart for $20), or even a hot bath or shower. Apply the heat source for 15-20 minutes, and make sure to check the skin under the heat source for signs of burning. If you are applying a heat source on or near the neck and head this can cause dizziness or lightheadedness. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded or unwell after you have applied the heat source, it should be removed immediately.
If you have a cardiovascular disease or have uncontrolled high blood pressure, you should always consult with your doctor before using a hot application. Changes to your circulation can put stress on the vessels and heart. ❤️❤️❤️
